A one-day class will get you started! Tranquality Tranquality - Tranquality is for those special fabrics that you just can't cut! You may have seen a similar version by Colleen in Asian Fabric magazine called the Zen Quilt. For the Tranquility version you use 1 1/2 to 2 yards of fabric for the center piece. It's a great class to learn about using bias edges successfully! A one-day class.

For a specific project, such as Rock, Paper, Scissors a full-day (6 hour) class will work. For unlimited possibilities more days are better, such as a retreat. Sporty and FriendsSporty and Friends - A delightful quilt top that uses two simple blocks and incorporates the border fabric into the center of the star blocks. Learn to fussy cut designs for star centers using freezer paper templates. A successful one-day class. Carpenter's SquareCarpenter's Square - Four designs and sizes to choose from; The Apprentice is the easiest with only two rails and optional borders; the Journeyman is the most difficult as it has three rails and is a rectangle rather than a square; the Master adds a three rail border to enhance the basic design; and more like the traditional design the Carpenter Design is like the Master version but without the extra borders. A one-day (6 hour) class will get you started, a two-day class or retreat will allow enough time for some to begin the assembly process.

Playing with JacksIf Al-Can You Can and Jacks (two three-dimensional designs) - If Al-Can You Can is the easiest that a beginner can complete, available in four sizes. Playing with Jax uses triangles to create the "Jacks", available in two sizes. Both use easy fabric folding techniques to make the 3-D blocks. Techniques can be learned in a one-day (6-hour) class. This is a great project to help clean out your scrap bag of left over 2 1/2" strips. ZenZen Quilt - For that "just can't cut it" fabric.
